Meet Captain Jake

Captain Jake has been fishing the Massachusetts coast and operating boats since he was a child. Having grown up in the seaside town of Marblehead, MA, it was inevitable that he would be drawn to the ocean and develop the utmost respect for marine life.

At age 12, Captain Jake received his United States Power Squadron Safe Boating Certificate, and a few years later, Captain Jake received his Operator of Un-inspected Passenger Vessel Captain’s License from the United States Coast Guard and Department of Homeland Security. Captain Jake also holds a valid TWIC Card, Adult and Pediatric CPR+AED+First Aid Certification, as well as valid Massachusetts and Federal Charter Fishing Permits.

Captain Jake is an expert on marine ecosystems in the Gulf of Maine and Cape Cod Bay, and takes a very scientific approach to finding and catching BIG FISH. He is committed to fishing sustainably, and supports good catch and release practices. Always willing to share his knowledge, Captain Jake is the perfect guide for anglers who want to learn more about how to enjoy Massachusetts’ marine ecosystems through the sport of fishing.
